Ricin is poison ?

Ricin is a protein toxin from castor beans (Ricinus communis). It’s like chemical or biological warfare agents Agent Toxicity. The U. S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) indicates a possible minimum value of 500 micrograms (about the size of a grain of salt) [edit] of the lethal dose of ricin in humans, that is, if the exposure by inhalation or injection.

Ricin is poisonous if inhaled, injected or income, as a toxin by the inhibition of protein synthesis. Although there is no known antidote, the U.S. military has developed a vaccine [2]. Symptomatic and supportive treatment is available.
